Application and Submission for Pre-Thesis/Report Presentation

: Monday, 7 October KST 9 AM. - Friday, 11 October KST 3 PM.

PSPS students who write thesis or report for the Master’s degree in the Fall Semester 2019 must take note of the following information.

1. Period: Monday, 7 October KST 9 AM. - Friday, 11 Ocotber KST 3 PM.

2. Required documents: ① Application paper, ② 1st draft (MS Word/PDF File), ③ Student Information form

      * There is no specified quantity in the 1st draft, but please include at least two chapters in right format

        (with cover pages).

      * Each advisors has different standards about the progress of 1st draft.

        Regarding this, you may consult with your advisor in advance.

3. Requirements: Students who meet the criteria as indicated below.

   - Registered for the 4th semester

   - Registered 3 credits of “Thesis Research (논문연구)” course in the 4th semester

   - Obtained at least 27 credits (minimum core 9 credits, Major 15 credits) with GPA higher than B(80/3.0)

     (Not including the thesis research course)

4. Evaluation Period of Pre-Thesis/Report Presentation: Monday, 14 Oct. – Friday, 18 Oct.

5. Other information:

- Student should apply for the pre-thesis/report presentation in URP system.

  Please refer to the below procedure.

  ① Please read the notice, click the “Check” button and type the last 7 digits of your alien card number. If you do not have your alien card, please contact us to check your alien card number.

  ② Please select "논문(thesis)" or "보고서(report)" at "유형(type)" option, and write brief introduction about your thesis/report within 600 letters (including spaces) at “발표논문내용”. If you write more than 600 letters, system error will occur so please check it. (FYI, This abstract is not for the evaluation. You just need to briefly write down about your thesis/report.)

  ③ Click the button and print out the application form.

  ④ At the print page, click the MS WORD icon button. After opening your file, please write your title in Korean and English.

     * The title of thesis/report in Korean language (“발표논제-국문”)

     * The title of thesis/report in English (“발표논제-영문”)

     * For the Korean title, you need to consnult with your advisor. So please prepare English version first and then, consult with your adivsor.

  ⑤ Please sign on the printed application paper, get advisor’s signature directly or get a permission from your advisor to use the stamp at the PSPS office. Don’t forget your handwriting signature.

   - Submit the application form and 1st draft by e-mail (scanned file) to the Program Officer Hong Giheon, gi1234@yu.ac.kr or to the PSPS directly.

   - Students are also required to submit the 1st draft of thesis/report to their own advisor.

   - Student Information will be used for the PSPS network after graduation. This information will NOT be released without the student’s agreement.

   - Please check again your title and anticipated degree when you submit your 1st draft.
