Can I apply for admission even if my undergraduate major is different?

Yes,  you can. PSPS welcomes students from a wide range of undergraduate backgrounds. Our curriculum is designed to be adaptable to various academic experiences. While enrolled,  you will need to take 4-5 specific core courses relevant to  your chosen major under one of the three departments, but your undergraduate major does not restrict your eligibility for admission.

What are the graduation requirements for the PSPS Master's Program?

To graduate from the PSPS Master's Program, students must:

  1. 2. Demonstrate Korean Language Proficienty:
    •     1) Either enroll in a Korean language course at the Korean Language Institute for three semesters (offered free of chrage).
    •     2) Or submit official test scores, such as TOPIK Level 3 or above, or KLAT Level  3 or above, to demonstrate proficiency.

What is the PSPS grading system?

The PSPS Master's degree program employs a 4.5 grading scale. The academic performance is represented by the following letter grades and their respective point values:


A+: 4.5    A: 4.0

B+: 3.5   B: 3.0

C+: 2.5   C: 2.0

D+:1.5    D:1.0    F: 0.0

Do I have to stay in the dormitory?

No, staying at the dormitory is not mandatory, but it is recommended. If you choose to stay in the dormitory, the PSPS administration office will assist you with the process and guide you for accommodations at YU dormitories. However, please be aware that due to limited dormitory capacity, we may not be able to accommodate all requests at all times.
