Measles is a highly contagious disease as we noticed through the very first e-mail sent to you last Friday.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and the Gyeongsan City Public Health Center asked for the

cooperation of all universities in the city so please see what we and you are supposed to do for

prevention.

1. Do not go to public places where are crowded with many people such as a large supermarket,

multi complex, downdown and church preferably.

2. Wear a mask and wash your hands thoroughly if you have to go to those places.

3. Make sure to finish the second MMR vaccination in case you already finished the first one.

※ If you have never taken the shots so far, vaccination is highly recommended.

In the event of a suspected measles,

1. Go to the Gyeongsan City Public Health Center directly with a mask by using a tax (not other

public transportations) in the daytime during the week.

2. Go to the  Semyeong Hospital in the Gyeongsan Market directly with a mask by using a tax

(not other public transportations) during the night and weekend.

They explained us that they have carried out a variety of tests from the infected persons and the

final result will be confirmed in the middle of April. However, they have to watch for three weeks

after the final result whether there will be no more suspected or infected persons or not.

Acccording to their request to refrain from having events with a large crowd gathers, the PSPS office asks for your cooperation to delay all the prearranged events until the 1st week in May.

The PSPS office will prepare a hand sanitizer at every class rooms including the PC lab and the

Saemaul Lounge with a one-day use mask once. We will notice when and where you can get a

mask from the office again soon.

During classes or staying at the campus, please come to the office wearing a mask in case a rash

spreads from face to body with fever.
