Yeungnam University Graduate School Introduction Video contest 

영남대학교 대학원에서는 외국인 유학생 유치 홍보에 활용하고, 재학생들에게는 영상 제작 기회를 제공하고자 다음과 같이 「영남대학교 대학원 소개 영상 공모전」을 시행하고자 합니다. 우리 학생들의 많은 참여 바랍니다.

1. Contest Overview

Eligibility

- Enrolled students (Team or individual) at YU Graduate School, Coursework-completed students (registered as 

research students in March 2024)

※ International students participation is highly recommended

Theme

a. Mandatory Inclusions:

- Introduce graduate school and departments of YU

- Introduce educational(research) facilities and activities 

b. Optional: 

- Interviews with professors

- Life at Yeungnam and in Korea(from International students’ perspective)

Language(voice & subtitle) : English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean

2. Submission Guidelines

Submission open : April 15th ~ April 30th, 2024

Submit at : graduate@yu.ac.kr

- Email subject and filename : Department_Team Name_Title.

※ Example : Economics_Go YU_My favorite at YU

Contestants must submit

a. Application form[form1]

b. Video work

- Length : 3~5 minutes (file size under 500MB)

- Resolution and Format: FHD(1920x1080), aspect ratio(16:9), file format(MP4, AVI, MOV)

c. Agreement to collection and use of personal information(all team members must submit )[form2]

3. Evaluation and Awards

Evaluation : Comprehensive judgment based on subject expression, creativity, and completeness according to internal criteria.

Awards

- 1st Prize(1 work) : Certificate and 1,000,000 KRW 

- 2nd Prize(2 works) : Certificate and 500,000 KRW each

- 3rd Prize(3 works): Certificate and 300,000 KRW each

※ Awards may not be given if there are no qualified winning entries.

※ If entered as a team, the cash prize will be equally divided among team members.

4. Conditions of Entry

- Submitted works may be utilized for online promotion on official university YouTube channels, school websites, and departmental websites.

- Themes, fonts, photos, music, etc., used in the videos must not infringe on copyright, and the submitter holds all responsibility. In case of any issues arising in the future, all responsibility lies with the submitter.

- Submitted works must be original creations produced within the contest period and must not have been submitted to or received awards from other competitions. They should be purely original creations.

- Evaluation scores will not be disclosed, and awards may not be given if there are no qualified winning entries.

- Submitted documents and works will not be returned, and all rights (including rights to derivative works and edited works) of winning entries belong to Yeungnam University.

- Submitted works containing individuals, it is the Contestants' responsibility to obtain the necessary consent 

regarding the portrait rights. Failure to obtain consent makes the entrant liable for any issues that may arise.

    가. 참가자격 : 영남대학교 대학원 재학생(팀 또는 개인)

          ※ 연구생 등록자 포함, 외국인 유학생 참여 권장

    나. 영상 내용

       - 필수 : 대학원 및 학과 소개, 교육(연구) 시설 및 활동 소개

       - 선택 : 교수 인터뷰, 외국인 학생의 학교 및 한국 생활 경험 외

    다. 영상 음성 및 자막사용 언어 : 영어, 중국어, 베트남, 한국어

    라. 영상 규격 : 3~5분 분량 영상(500MB 이하)

3. 진행 일정

    가. 공모 접수 : 2024.04.15(월) ~ 04.30(화), 대학원 이메일 제출

    나. 공모 심사 : 2024년 5월 초

    다. 선정 결과 발표 : 2024년 5월 중순

     ※ 상기 일정은 사정에 의해 변경 될 수 있음

4. 시상 계획

    - 1위(1개팀) : 상장 및 상금 100만원

    - 2위(2개팀) : 상장 및 상금 50만원

    - 3위(3개팀) : 상장 및 상금 30만원   

5. 영상 활용 방안

    - 대학원 홈페이지, 학교 유튜브 등 홍보 영상으로 활용

    - 외국 대학 방문 시 홍보 영상으로 활용

    - 대학원 신입생 모집 시 홍보자료 활용
