Notice on Graduate School Korean Language Test Exemption Application for Fall 2026
우리 대학원의 외국인 학생(외국 국적 학생)은 학위청구논문 제출(논문대체 포함) 자격시험으로 한국어시험에 합격하여야 하며, 다음과 같이 한국어시험 면제 신청 요건을 안내하오니 대상자는 신청하여 주시기 바랍니다. The international students (foreign national students) in our Graduate School must pass a Korean Language Test as a qualification for submitting their degree thesis (including non-thesis project). We would like to inform you of the requirements for applying for an exemption from the Korean Language Test as follows, so eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. |
1. 신청 기간: 2026.8.18.(화) 10:00 ~ 8.20.(목) 17:00
Application Period: 2026.8.18.(Tue) 10:00 ~ 8.20.(Thu) 17:00
2. 신청 대상 Applicants
가. 외국인전형으로 입학한 학생 International Students
나. 일반전형으로 입학한 학생 중 외국 국적인 학생 Foreign national students
3. 신청 자격 요건 Eligibility Requirements
1) 2026학년도 2학기 신입생 및 등록을 필한 재학생
Admitted students and/or enrolled (tuition paid) students for Fall 2026
2) 수료생
Students who completed coursework
4. 한국어시험 면제 자격 Qualification for the exemption of Korean Language Test
1) 대학원에서 출제하는 한국어시험에 합격한 자 : 대학원 자체 한국어시험은 시행하지 않고 YU TOPIK으로 시행함
Students who have passed the Korean Language Test administered by the Graduate
School: The Graduate School does not conduct its own Korean Language Test; instead, it is administered through YU TOPIK, which is organized by the International Admissions Team of the Global Admissions Office.
2) TOPIK 4급 이상(예체능계열 3급 이상) 성적을 취득한 자
Official test score holders of TOPIK level 4 or higher
(arts and kinesiology: Level 3 or higher)
3) 한국어특강을 이수하고 합격한 자 : 면제신청 대상 X (자동 면제)
(2A 이상 수강하고 합격한 자)
Students who have taken the special Korean classes from the YU Korean Language Institute and obtained passing marks 2A level or higher
(automatically exempted, not required to apply)
4) 한국어정규과정(3급 이상)을 이수하고 합격한 자
Students who have taken the regular Korean classes from the YU Korean Language
Institute and obtained passing marks in level 3 or higher
5) 한국에서 학위를 취득한 자 Graduates from Universities in Korea
6) 법무부 사회통합프로그램 4단계 또는 사전평가 81점 이상
(예체능계열 3단계 이수 또는 사전평가 61점 이상)
Completion of stage 4 in the Korea Ministry of Justice Social Integration Program
or a pre-evaluation score of 81 or higher
(arts and kinesiology : completion of stage 3 or a pre-evaluation score of 61 or higher)
7) TOEFL iBT 71 이상 성적을 취득한 자(영어트랙 입학자만 해당)
Official test score holders of TOEFL iBT 71 or higher(English track students only)
5. 신청(면제) 방법 How to apply Exemption of the Test
1) [대학원에서 출제하는 한국어시험에 합격한 자] : YU TOPIK 합격증 제출(대학원 제출)
Students who have passed the Korean Language Test administered by the Graduate
School : submit the YU TOPIK certificate to Graduate School
2) [공인성적취득자] : 웹(URP종합정보) → 졸업관리 → 한국어시험신청 →과목명 중
“TOPIK" 선택 → 성적 입력 → 신청서 출력 + 공인성적표(2026.9.1.기준으로 시험일(Test date)이 2년 이내인 성적표) → 대학원 제출
[Official test score holders]: Web(URP) → Graduation → Application for
Korean Language Exam → Select “TOPIK" → Enter your test score → print out the application form → submit both the application and the official test score sheet(Test date must be within 2 years from Sep. 1, 2026) to Graduate School
3) [한국에서 학위취득자] : 웹(URP종합정보) → 졸업관리 → 한국어시험신청 → 과목명 중
“한국어면제” 선택 → 신청서출력 + 졸업증명서 → 대학원 제출
[Graduates from Universities in Korea]: Web(URP) → Graduation → Application
for Korean Language Exam → Select a“한국어면제 Exemption of Korean Test”
선택 → print out the application form → submit both the application and the
certificate of graduation to Graduate School]
4) [한국어정규과정(3급 이상)을 이수하고 합격한 자] : 수료증 제출(대학원 제출)
[Students who have taken the regular Korean classes from the YU Korean Language
Institute and obtained passing marks in level 3 or higher] : submit the
certificate of completion to Graduate School
5) [법무부 사회통합프로그램 4단계 또는 사전평가 81점 이상(예체능계열 3단계 이수
또는 사전평가 61점 이상)]: 이수증 또는 평가성적증명서(2026.9.1.기준으로 시험일(Test
date)이 2년 이내) 제출(대학원 제출)

※ 한국어특강을 이수하고 합격한 자 및 2026 후기 신입생 중 입학서류에 공인성적표를
제출한 자는 별도의 면제신청이 필요 없음.
It is not necessary to apply for the Exemption of Korean Language Test in
following case that:
(1) Students who have already taken the special Korean classes from the YU Korean Language Institute and obtained passing marks
(2) Students who have been admitted to Graduate School in Fall 2026 and submitted the official TOPIK test score
