Q. I entered Korea with a Temporary Visit/Transit visa (B-1/B-2). How can I change it to a student visa (D-2)?

A. Temporary Visit (B-1) and Transit (B-2) visas cannot be changed to a student visa (D-2) within Korea.
Students entering Korea with these visa types must leave Korea as soon as possible and obtain a new student visa (D-2) from the Korean embassy or consulate in their home countries.

问：我以临时访问/过境签证（B-1/B-2）入境韩国。可以转换成学生签证（D-2）吗？

答： 临时访问（B-1）和过境（B-2）签证 在韩国境内无法转换为学生签证（D-2）。
持有此类签证入境的学生必须尽快离境，并在本国的韩国大使馆或领事馆重新申请学生签证（D-2）。

When your Alien Registration Card (ARC) is lost, you must visit the Immigration Office in person within 14 days from the date of loss.
In this case, no online reservation is required.

Please bring the following documents:
· Application form
· Certificate of Registration
· Re-issuance fee: 30,000 KRW

In addition, you must complete and submit a Statement of Reason for Re-issuance at the immigration office.

当您的外国人登录证（ARC）遗失时，您必须在遗失之日起 14 天内亲自前往出入境管理局办理补发手续。
在此情况下，无需进行线上预约。

请携带以下材料：
· 申请表
· 登录事实证明（Certificate of Registration）
· 补发费用 30,000 韩元

此外，您还需要在出入境管理局现场填写并提交补发事由书。

All international students, even with visa other than student visa (D-2) like F-type or E-type visa, must report any change in certain information of Alien Registration Card (ARC) within 14 days of the occurrence to the immigration office. 

📌Such information includes: 

• Passport name, date of birth, and nationality 

•  Number, date of issue, and date of expiration of the passport 

•  Residence

所有国际学生，即使持有学生签证（D-2）以外的签证类型（如 F 类或 E 类签证），在其外国人登录证（ARC）上的特定信息发生变更后，必须在 14 天内向出入境管理局申报变更。

📌需要申报的变更信息包括：

• 护照姓名、出生日期、国籍
•  护照号码、签发日期、有效期限
•  住所地址

All international students must obtain a student visa (D-2) issued based on the Certificate of Admission provided by Yeungnam University.

Therefore, transfer students cannot use the student visa (D-2) that was previously issued while studying at another institution.
They must apply for a new student visa (D-2).

However, since March 2018, transfer students have not been allowed to apply for a new student visa (D-2) within Korea.
They are required to leave Korea and obtain a new student visa (D-2) from the Korean embassy or consulate in their home country.

Please prepare the required documents for the student visa (D-2) application and submit them to the Korean embassy or consulate in the country where you reside.

所有国际学生都必须凭借岭南大学签发的录取确认书（Certificate of Admission）来申请并获得学生签证（D-2）。

因此，转学学生不能继续使用之前在其他学校就读期间所获发的学生签证（D-2），必须重新申请一张新的学生签证（D-2）。

然而，自 2018年3月起，转学学生已无法在韩国境内申请新的学生签证（D-2）。
他们必须离境，并在本国的韩国大使馆或领事馆重新办理新的学生签证（D-2）。

请准备好学生签证（D-2）申请所需材料，并提交至您所在国家的韩国大使馆或领事馆。

‘휴학’ 신청서를 제출한 날짜를 기준으로 14일 이상 한국에 체류할 수 없습니다.
휴학 신청과 동시에 비자가 효력을 상실하기 때문입니다.

 You can no longer stay in Korea for more than 14 days from the date of ‘Leave of absence’ submission since your visa becomes invalid.

从提交“休学”申请之日起，您不得在韩国停留超过14天。
因为休学申请提交后，您的签证将立即失效。

We do not act as a part-time job agency. 

Moreover, the part-time jobs like private tutoring, baby-sitting and housekeeping are illegal by the immigration law. 

我们并不是任何形式的兼职介绍机构。
此外，私人家教、照看孩子、家政服务等兼职根据出入境管理法属于非法行为。 

비자가 만료되는 학생들은 비자 만료 전에 반드시 비자 연장(체류기간 연장허가)을 신청해야 합니다.

비자가 만료될 경우 최소 10만 원 이상의 범칙금이 부과될 수 있으니, 필수 서류를 미리 준비하시고, 기간 내에 반드시 신청하시기 바랍니다.

📢공지사항

• 출입국 사무소에 신청 완료된 시점으로부터 최종 허가 소요 기간은 약 3주 ~ 4주입니다.

•  체류기간 연장허가 신청 시 해당 본인이 대한민국에 체류하고 있는 경우에 가능합니다.  

(해외에 체류 중인 경우 연장신청 불가 ) 

• 비자 연장 신청은 체류 만료일 기준으로 4개월 내에만 신청 가능합니다.

• 전자민원 신청은 만료일 7일 전까지만 가능하니 여유 있는 신청을 권장드립니다.

• 연장 허가확인서를 받기 전에 체류 만료일을 초과하는 경우, 은행 증명서 발급, 건강보험 혜택 이용, 모바일 이용 등의 불편함이 있으나, 연장 허가 이후 정상적으로 회복됩니다.

✔ 여권을 재발급 하신 경우 관할 출입국에서 등록사항 변경 신고를 진행해주셔야 전자민원 신청이 가능합니다.

▶ 등록사항 변경 신고 신청(Hikorea) : Hikorea 온라인 신고

✔ 출입국사무소에서 반려될 가능성이 있으니, 비자 연장 신청 전에 지방세 체납 여부, 건강보험 체납 여부 및 체류지 변경 신고 여부(주소지를 변경한 경우)를 꼭 확인해 주세요.

대학원은 학생의 여권상 이름을 로마자 표기법에 근거하여 발음되는대로 입력합니다.  

따라서, 아래의 경우에 한해 변경이 가능합니다. 

1) 여권상의 영문 이름이 변경된 경우 

2) 한국어 이름이 표기된 공식 증명서상의 한글 표기가 다르거나 잘못 입력된 경우 

3) 전적대학의 증명서의 한글 표기가 다른 경우

The Graduate School enters student names in the URP system based on the pronunciation of the name written in the student’s passport according to the Romanization rules.

Therefore, name changes are allowed only in the following cases:

1. 1) When the English name in the passport has been changed.

2. 2) When the Korean name printed on an official certificate is different or incorrectly recorded.

3. 3) When the Korean spelling on the certificate from a previous university is different.

◆ Required Documents

1. 1.  Application for Correction of Student Record (see attached form)

2. 2.  A copy of the passport

3. 3. A copy of the Alien Registration Card (if applicable)

4. 4. Other supporting documents (if necessary)

Please prepare the above documents and submit them to the Graduate School Office.
