외국인 유학생 사증발급 및 체류관리 지침에 의거하여 현재 외국인 유학생이 시간제 취업(아르바이트)를 하고자 할 경우 체류자격외 활동허가를 받은 후에 시간제 취업을 할 수 있습니다. 

현재 제조업분야 시간제 취업이 제한되어 있으며, 2018년 11월 1일부터는 외국인 유학생에 대한 건설업분야 시간제 취업도 제한되니 유학생이 규정 위반으로 불이익을 받지 않도록 유의하기 바랍니다.

According to International Students' Visa Issuance and Sojourn Guide by the Korea Immigration Service, Ministry of Justice, international students who want to do a part-time job have to get permission from the Immigration Office in advance. Currently, doing a part-time job in manufacturing company is restricted and, as of 1st November 2018, working in the construction field will be also restricted. So, please be sure to abide by the guide and regulation to avoid disadvantages by illegal part-time job.  

유학생 시간제 취업 관련 주요 내용

Notes regarding International Students' Part-time Job 

1. 통상적으로 학생이 행하는 시간제 취업(단순노무 등) 활동에 한정

    Available only to the typical part-time jobs that students do.

2. 사전에 유학생 담당자의 확인을 받아 시간제취업 신청서를 출입국관리사무소에 제출하여 허가를 받아야 함

    Have to obtain permission from the university and Immigration Office by submitting application form. 

3. 한국어 능력에 따라 허용시간 다름

    Total weekly working time is limited according to Korean language proficiency.

   석박사 과정생 한국어능력 4급 이상 : 주중 30시간 이내, 주말, 방학 제한없음

   Graduate students with Korean proficiency level 4 or higher: within 30hrs/week, not limited in weekend and vacation.

   석박사 과정생 한국어능력 4급 미만 : 주중,주말, 방학 관계없이 15시간/주 이내

   Graduate students with Korean proficiency level 3 and below: within 15hrs/week regardless weekend and vacation

4. 제한분야 : 제조업, 건설업

   Restricted Field: Manufacture and Construction fields

5. 허가를 받지 않고 취업한 자의 처리

    Penalty for Illegal part-time job

   1차 적발 시 통고 처분 후 1년간 시간제 취업 제한, 2차 적발 시 강제퇴거

       (※ 건설업 분야의 경우 적발횟수와 관계없이 1차 적발 시 30일 이내 출국명령_입국규제는 유예)

    Warning and limitation for part-time job for 1 year for the 1st catch, expel from Korea for the 2nd catch.

    However, 1st catch from the contruction field will occur forced leave from Korea within 30 days.

❍ 다음 중 어느 하나에 해당하는 근무 형태는 제한

 - 사용자와 직접 고용계약을 체결하지 않은 취업활동*    * 배달대행업체 라이더 활동 등

 - 파견, 도급, 알선* 관계에 따른 취업활동  

  * 단, 지역적 특성 등을 고려하여 법무부장관이 별도로 정하는 지역 대학이 산학연계 방식으로 유학생의 인턴활동을 알선하는 경우는 제외

 - 원거리 근무(거주, 대학 소재 기준 최대 수도권 1시간30분, 지역은 1시간 이내 거리를 적정거리로 간주함)
