Admission

Spring and Fall semester
Coursework
- Master Degree Course :
  - ① Course Credit 24 credits (including minimum Core 3 credits, Major 6 credits)
  - ② Research credit 6 credits
  - ③ Research Ethics 1 credit
  - ④ Supplimentary subjects (only those designated by the department)
- Doctoral Degree Course:
  - ① Course Credit 36 credits (including minimum Core 3 credits, Major 12 credits)
  - ② Research credit 8 credits
  - ③ Research Ethics 1 credit
  - ④ Supplimentary subjects (only those designated by the department)
- Combined M.A.(M.S.) & PH.D. Degree Course :
  - ① Course Credit 54 credits (including minimum Core 6 credits, Major 18 credits)
  - ② Research credit 10 credits
  - ③ Research Ethics 1 credit
  - ④ Supplimentary subjects (only those designated by the department)
- Those whose major is different from previous degree are required to take additional subjects as supplementary subjects designated by the department in the 1st semester. The student must submit the Supplementary Course Registration Form before course registration. If the change for the supplementary subject is needed, the student must submit the “Form for Change of Supplementary Courses to be Taken”.

Assignment of academic supervisor
- · When to apply
- - Master Degree Course : from 2nd semester (Apply before the 2nd semester starts)
- - Doctoral Degree Course : from 1st semester (Apply before the 1st semester starts)
- - Submit the application form to the department office.
(Maters' Degree) Selection of Degree Obtaining Process Option
- When to select : before course registration for the 4th semester (February, August)
- Must be advised by the supervisor

- Option : ① Thesis ② Non-thesis Project
  Those already completed coursework before 2018 are selected as "Thesis" already.
- Changing the option is available only 1 time so, student must be advised by the supervisor before select option
Korean language Exam
- When to apply: February, August (Test : March, September)
  - Apply at [URP system -졸업관리(Graduation Management)-외국어시험신청(Application for Foreign language exam)]
- Korean language test exemption
  - Complete Korean Language Evening Course for a level 2A or higher
Graduation Qualifying Exam
- When to apply: March, September (Test : April, September)
  - Apply at [URP system-졸업관리(Graduation Management)-종합시험신청(Application for Graduation qualifying exam)]
- Who completed Coursework (or expected to complete in the semester)
  - ① Master's, Doctorate : At least 4 semesters or more
  - ② Combined Master’s & Doctorate : At least 6 semesters or more
- Examination subjects and passing criteria: Determined by the regulations of each department.
- ※ Prospective graduates who fail to acquire the required credits by the end of the semester will have their pass status revoked.
Course Completion requirements
· Registered at least the minimum required semesters per course
- ① Master's : At least 4 semesters or more
- ※ linked bachelor’s and master’s degree and admission for mutual recognition of bachelor’s and master’s credits : 3 semesters or more
- ② Doctorate : At least 4 semesters or more
- ③ Combined Master’s & Doctorate : At least 6 semesters or more
· Acquired the following credits (excluding supplementary courses)

· Obtained a GPA of 3,0 or higher for the completed courses

· Other requirements specified by the department (department internal regulations)
Thesis
- When to apply : March, May, September, November
  - Apply at URP system and submit documents to the graduate school office(research student registration form submitted to the department)

    ② Registration for research students(only for course completion students) : URP system-졸업관리(Graduation Management)-연구생등록신청(Registration for research students)
- Qualification for thesis presentation
  - who completed coursework (or expected to complete in the semester)
  - who met one of the Korean Language Requirements
  - who passed the Graduate Qualifying Exam
  - who met the requirements specified by the department
- Process
  - ① Registration for research students (excluding enrolled students) → ② Application for thesis → ③ Review → ④ Announcement of results and submission of review summary report → ⑤ Submission of finalthesis
- Thesis presentaion and review
  - Master : 2 or more times
  - Doctorate, Combined Master’s & Doctorate : 3 or more times
- Degree thesis judgement
  - Master : Consisting of at least 3 professors, including an academic supervisor , and 1 external reviewer if necessary
  - Doctorate : Consisting of at least 5 professors, including an academic supervisor, and 2 external reviewer if necessary
Non-thesis Project
- When to apply : February for Spring semester, August for Fall semester
  - Apply at [URP system-졸업관리(Graduation Management)-학위취득방법)]
- Eligibility for Non-thesis Project
  - Students affiliated with departments that permit the Non-thesis Project.
  - Those who have completed at least three semesters or complete coursework(excluding students enrolled in combined bachelor's and master's programs or those admitted under mutual credit recognition for bachelor's and master's programs).
  - Those who meet the criteria established by their departments, if any.
- Credit Requirements for Non-thesis Project
  - ① At least course credit 27 credits (including minimum Core 3 credits, Major 9 credits)
  - ② Non-thesis project 3 credits
  - ③ Research credit 6 credits
  - ④ Research Ethics 1 credit
  - ⑤ Supplimentary subjects (only those designated by the department)
Degree Conferral Assessment
- Degree Conferment Requirements
  - ① Foreign Language Proficiency Test
  - ② Comprehensive Examination
  - ③ Thesis Evaluation Results
  - ④ Submission of Completed Thesis
  - ⑤ Meet the Non-thesis Project Criteria
  - ⑥ Meet the Criteria(Departmental Regulations) Specified by the Departmentand, etc.
Graduation(학위수여)
- Spring : February, September
- Fall : August, April
